Over the past 7+ years, I've designed products with early-stage startups and established teams, helping turn complex ideas into usable products. Much of my work has been in AI, cybersecurity, and developer tools, where the technology can get complicated quickly. I enjoy figuring out how to make these products easier to understand and use without losing what makes them powerful.
I like being involved in the whole process, from getting to the heart of a problem to figuring out how a product should work and sweating the small details. I like moving fast, but not just for the sake of shipping.
I think the best software is the kind you barely have to think about using. You should be able to focus on what you're trying to do, not on figuring out the interface. That's something I keep coming back to in my work.
Being self-taught has also shaped how I see design. I've learned a lot from people who share what they know, whether through open-source projects, thoughtful writing, or tools that make someone else's work a little easier. I have a lot of respect for people who give back, and I'd like to do more of that myself.
